The Uncanny Alphabet is a book about embracing the weird. To show that it is ok to think in a different light! It's about looking at the entire alphabet and thinking about in an abstract way. It's the extra credit lesson that we never got to take.

The whole process of The Uncanny Alphabet was just one big snowball. The original concept of The Uncanny Alphabet started off as 26 page picture book. No words involved at all, that is until David mentioned that wanted to dive into more creative writing! Which led to David and I finally joining forces to create our book. All of the poems were conceived after the illustrations were completed. This built a foundation for the illustrations, as if you were actually reading about their world.
This gallery showcases the development of the letters and the actual book. Some letters went through a major overhaul, while other letters were merely cleaned up!
During the Kickstarter process we came up with the idea to have an audiobook to go along with it. Which led to the question: David, why don't you make an OST for our book? (and tbh how often do you hear about an OST for a book?) As a result, it spawned two great projects that ties this whole Uncanny experience!
